Maple Cake is the perfect place for life's important events - weddings, graduations, celebrations, vacations, retreats. It is also the place for rediscovering the natural world.

There are 200 acres for you to explore on foot, on skis, on a snowmobile. You can fish, hunt, meander, or just sit on a tree stump and watch turkeys and deer feed. Bird watchers delight, bird tours. There are fields to roam, hills to climb, spectacular scenery, a brook for children to splash in or dam up on hot summer days. Activities & Tours

Maple Cake is the ideal spot for snowmobiling families because the statewide VAST snowmobile trail is just below the boundary of the farm.

We can point you to school and church suppers, or local caterers who specialize in home-style cooking.

Don't like reading the map and driving? We can refer you to wonderful folks who plan a variety of day tours - covered bridges, maple sugaring, roadside geology, architecture, Vermont's manufacturing, marble and granite industries, Civil War reenactments and sites, and other categories of historical significance.

There is a state canoe and kayak access point on the White River just minutes from the farm.

Take your family berry picking at any one of the nearby pick-your-own berry farms.

Skiing

We are about an hour's driving, or less, from the following ski areas: Sugarbush, Stowe, Killington, Quechee Lakes, Suicide Six.

Camping & Tenting

Your children can have their first tenting experience in the woods or a pasture within hearing distance although they will feel grown up and independent.

We are pet friendly!

Animals are central to our lives,too. Your well behaved, housebroken, unaggressive pets are welcome at Maple Cake. We do require a substantial deposit. If your pets behave themselves, you will have a refund check in hand when you leave. Horses are welcome also. We should have our box stalls and paddock ready for summer.
